Karen Shackleford loves running K's Shirts & More, LLC. in Pharr, Texas. From personalized t-shirts, resin glitter pins, and sublimated cups to keychains and bath bombs, she fills her days with passion and creativity. 

Before starting her own business, Karen crafted t-shirts as a creative outlet and “just for fun.” However, the support and encouragement she received from her friends and family motivated her to take a leap of faith and transform her passion into a business. "The most rewarding thing about owning my small business is I make my own rules, pick my hours, and not answer to anyone but myself."

Karen also notes that navigating the path of owning a business can be daunting, especially when considering the potential ups and downs. However, we must recognize that encountering risks is not exclusive to entrepreneurship; every job carries uncertainties. "Take a leap of faith and make your dreams a reality," says Karen.
